Direct Spaces Release Notes 1.11

To ensure your users are benefiting from the newest features, enhancements, and fixes, EMS Software recommends that you upgrade to the most current release of your EMS product.

You now need the .NET Framework 4.8 on the application server.

You only need the latest downloads for any component since they are cumulative.

New Features

  • We’re excited to announce our new Floor Plan booking widget, available as a beta release. You can book directly from a floor plan for a specific date and time using the Floor Plan booking widget. To add floor plans, use the search box to search for and select floorplans. This is a configurable feature that can be turned on or off at the environment level. To enable this beta feature, contact your account manager or Professional Services consultant.

  • Direct Spaces translates the application based on your mobile device’s region and language settings. If you need to override individual translations for the entire Direct Spaces environment, contact your account manager or Professional Services consultant.

Enhancements

  • In floor plans, if you select a booked space, the Everyday User that booked the space shows in the booking details if the booking is not marked private.
  • You can send an email invite for existing reservations.

  • Attendees on a booking will always default to 1 if the room was originally configured to 0.

  • We removed the Create Calendar Event button.
  • We implemented a new mobile specific floor plan indicator for customers using floor plan indicators larger than 28x28 pixels. The indicator is a transparent green or red circle. (Client Version 2.6.2)

Improvements & Issues Fixed

  • When you update a booking and click Edit to change rooms/spaces, you no longer get an error message. (Release 1.10.2)
  • Using Android? You can now screenshot and screen share while using the Direct Spaces application. (Client Version 2.6.2)
  • You can scan a QR code while in the process of creating a new booking with Add Room using QR Code. The building and room information will then populate in your booking.
